CTC Magazine promoted a picture day, called "A Day in the West", where railfans were encouraged to take to the rails and photograph your favorite railroad on May 27th, 1985, and submit a photo to their magazine for possible inclusion. I submitted a black and white photo of these Santa Fe F units heading west in Cajon Pass. That B&W photo was published in their June1985 issue. |

This is the last photo I took on "A Day in the West" sponsored by CTC board. It was very dark and this train was at speed. Nothing like 4 Santa Fe FP45 and F45 units screaming down Cajon Pass. A black and white photo oif this train was published in their magazine as part of that day. (June '85) |
